Solution-IV Server Recommended Hardware Configuration
Manufacturers update systems very often. Use the specifications and considerations below to find a compatible system from your hardware provider. We have had success with Dell PowerEdge and HP ProLiant systems. The following specifications are the minimum requirements for an 8-user system.
- Quad or 6 Core Intel Server Processor (usually Xeon)
- 12-16 GB memory
- Hard disk minimum of 500GB (SCSI or SAS), or optionally RAID 1 or 5 for redundancy
- CD/DVD ROM
- NIC (network card)
- Backup device (tape, removable hard disk (e.g. RDX) or you can use one already installed on your network)
- Recommended Operating Systems are Windows 2016 or 2019 Server or later, most current UNIX, or Linux
- Power backup (UPS)

- Recommended Operating System is Windows 10 Windows 7 is end of life at the end of January 2020!**
