This program runs the TAPVITLD method without an operator, so you can start it from a UNIX cron job. It opens the VIP and IDOL-IV object libraries, sets up the IDOL-IV system variables, calls a script that connects to TAPVITLD and then releases Basic.

- Save the Basic program as TABSTVTL, the name the IPL line in the comments runs.
- Create a script named TAPSTVTL whose MAINLINE contains
CONNECT METHOD "TAPVITLD", as shown in the comments. - Add the two IPL lines from the comments: they define a null device T0 and run TABSTVTL on it.
- Do not open the VIP-OBJ and IDOL-IV libraries in your IPL file as well. If you do, take them out.
