Introduction

To install TS DataServer for MySQL, follow these quick and easy steps. Approximately 2 MB is required on the server system.

Installation

Installations are accomplished using cpio. Before using cpio, the downloaded product file must be moved onto your system.

1. Login as root
2. Copy the downloaded product file into /usr/lib/basic.
3. cd /usr/lib/basic
4. umask 0
5. cpio -ivBmud < TSMY
6. ./install

Getting Started

1. Login as the MySQL administrator.
2. After the MySQL database is up and running, execute tsmysql.

Configuring Clients

1. Update SERVER.MAP with Server IDs and TCP/IP addresses.

2. Add Dev line to IPLINPUT using the MySQL Server ID found in SERVER.MAP

3. Update the Dictionary-IV Link Definitions by adding the Server ID and Table Names.
