Using the Debugging Facility
SQL Output
Section titled “SQL Output”A debugging facility is available from the tsoracle## process. Execute this program with the following syntax to activate the debugger.
tsoracle10 –dn
or
tsoracle11 -dnn Currently the only debug level is 1. This sends the generated SQL statements to the log file (/usr/lib/basic/tsor.debug). The output in the log file contains a separate line for each generated SQL statement prefixed by the child tsoracle10 process id.
While tsoracle## is active, output for all clients (located on the same machine) is sent to one tsor.debug file.
If the tsor.debug file is copied, output will continue to be placed in the renamed file until the parent tsoracle10 process is terminated. A subsequent execution will use a new tsor.debug.
Process Identification
Section titled “Process Identification”A method is available to associate the child tsoracle## process with the client process. Execute this program with the following syntax to activate the debugger:
tsoracle10 –s
or
tsoracle11 -sBy including the -s argument on the tsoracle## command, each time the client logs into the server, information is sent to tsoracle10.pid/tsoracle11.pid file. The file is located in /usr/lib/basic. The format of the information is as follows:
- Line 1
- parent tsoracle## process
Line 2 - n [child tsoracle## process][client host name][client basic process]
