Dictionary Expansion

This utility expands or compresses the Global and System dictionaries. It optimizes your use of disk storage space.

Diagram: NOTE: Be sure that you are the only operator in Dictionary-IV.

Select Dictionary Expansion from the Dictionary-IV Utilities Menu. The system displays the following:

D-Database Dict
Select this option to expand the space allocated for the database dictionary (IDDBD).

G-Global Dict
Select this option to expand the space allocated for the global dictionary (IDGBD).

Once you select the processing option, the utility proceeds automatically to completion.
